1. Follow Your Bliss

I’ve kept those three words close to my heart the past few years, when the future felt unclear.  I was in my third year of college and I found out that I could no longer be determined a “pre-nursing” major since I had completed too many units to be a “pre-” anything and had to choose something.  I had interned at a local hospital and realized that I didn’t want to pursue nursing.  I also realized that most of my friends had already applied for graduation for the following year and here I was, still choosing a major.

I was only about 21 at the time, but I felt like time was running out.  Then I found those three words and it felt as if I woke up and finally realized, “why not?”  As simple as it is to do what makes you happy, most people don’t.

Now about 4 years later, I’m finally at a point in my life where I’m actually proud.  I’m proud of myself and my decision to chase what makes me happy.  It’s because now, for the first time, I’m excited for my life to begin.

    2012 will be my year.
